Our Philosophy

Studying music is more than learning to play an instrument. It's also learning the skills necessary to make up a tune, pick up a chord progression in a jam session or sing harmony to your favorite song on the radio. At Sonder Music, Dance & Art, we teach music literacy, technical proficiency and artistry as well as ear training, music appreciation, improvisation and composition. Our creative and supportive learning environment encourages students to get the most out of their lessons. In addition to our music lessons and classes, we offer dance and art classes, many of which incorporate music, story and metaphor as teaching tools. We also host regular arts events, including concerts, art openings and workshops. We believe that actively supporting and promoting the arts fosters creativity in our students and our community.
